Hi guys n Girls,

after having read through various posts concerning MW2 and the huge disappointment the multi-player part of the game can be, I wondered how many of you have looked at BFBC2?

For those of you that played or still play BF2, you will know there is still a huge community of players out there!

The good thing is, DICE (developers of the game) have guaranteed dedicated servers. Now I have looked at just about every vid on Youtube concerning this game and have come to the conclusion that it looks awesome! If the game lives up to all the hype I can see MW2 taking a nose dive when BFBC2 comes out at the start of March, I have already pre-ordered my copy as have quite a few other clan members at CrUsaders. The problem at the moment is convincing all the others that we will need a BFBC2 server, they seem to want to hold on to COD4/5 at all costs, we had a UO server which was rarely used for ages before a decision was reached to close it. The point I am making is, that this game will have dedicated servers, where admins can kick people for bad behaviour and leaders can ban cheats, there will be no problems connecting to servers or excessive lag due to bad hosts!
Would really appreciate your guys views on this!

I must confess to not taking to the Battlefield series, which is prob why Ive not followed the news on this one, but it does seem like it will be a top game.

The issues you state are all very true and for PC Gaming clans, dedicated servers are very important to us. So like you say MW2 may suffer big time with the release of this game.

I have just checked if my machine will run it and it passed, so I will probably get the game

I gave the original BF and BF2 a try, but honestly didn't like them too much.
But that's long ago maybe that new one totally different!?

Like the videos and my PC would still be able to cope with it... then again I do like the COD gameplay a lot!

nice posts mav yeah my comp is capable but i have limited net access right now so up a creek without a paddle springs to mind lol but will look into game when its released looks nice though

Well I still play BF2 a fair bit, more than anyother game at the moment so I'll be purchasing the new game. I'm disenchanted with MW2 and it's lousy server system and would welcome a new MP game to play.

nope i don,t have the game m8. And a honest answer i am not really thinking off buying it. Cos i have 3 other games on mine cp. Wich need some playing. Orher wise its a waste off money. Playing those games for 4 a 5 months and than turn away form them.

I have been playing the beat (free with pre orders) and I have to say it is really good.
The map in the beta is huge and with PB support (even on the beta) it is great to know the servers are safe.
The gametype in the beta is pretty good as well with 1 team attacking and one defending and the tanks, jeeps and heli work well.
I must confess though that I am looking forward to the squad matchs in the full game more than anything. Team Deathmatch with 4 squads of 4.

thx for the news! Is it true you cant go prone in game? Heard this rumour and just wanted to know if it is true. Nice to see punkbuster as the anti-cheat system though, the cheaters on MW2 yesterday were doing my head in!

I must admit, I haven't played the previous versions of it, but looking at the video's of the game, it looks very good. With the HUGE problem of MW2 not having dedicated servers, this looks like a new alternative. Our server provider allows us to switch between different games at a click of a button so I think I will be putting it on the BluE server.

Its worth a look I think.... Who knows, could be the next best thing..... (To SoF I mean)...

NO prone ingame. Dice said they removed prone to improve the pace at which the game is played and it is a fast game.
To be totally honest I like this beta over CoD and I like the idea (have not played this yet) of the squad game mode that is in the final release. 4 squads of 4 in team deathmatch mode (so thats 4 vs 12 for all squads)

The enviroment ingame is brilliant and a little more true to life than most others. Example is grenades will do some damage to a building but not a lot but a tank will demolish it with a few well placed shells.

In the beta the gamemode is rush and you have 2 teams one attacking and one defending 4 points that you have to blow up or defend. In most games you would either set a charge and run and that is true here as well but you can also destroy these points with tanks as well.

As you can tell I like it and I am looking forward to the release. Pre order in so I will be there on day 1 and with no prone there will be no bunny hopping kids like there was in BF2
